Cozy requires:

• macOS 26 (Tahoe) or later
• Apple Silicon Mac (M1 or later)
• Approximately 200MB of free storage

🖼️ How do I apply a theme?

It's simple — just one click:

• Open Cozy from your menu bar
• Browse available themes in the main window
• Click on a theme to preview it
• Click "Apply" to set both the wallpaper and folder icons
• That's it! Your desktop is now cozy ✨

⌨️ Keyboard Shortcuts

• ⌘ ⌥ Esc → Select Finder → Relaunch — Refresh folder icons
• ⌘ I — Open icon picker to customize a folder

You can also drag any folder onto the Cozy menu bar icon to customize its icon.

📁 How do folder icons work?

When you first apply a theme, Cozy will ask for permission to access your Desktop folder. Just click "Grant Access" and select your Desktop — Cozy remembers this, so you only need to do it once.

🔄 Can I restore my purchase on a new Mac?

Yes! Your purchase is tied to your Apple ID:

• Install Cozy on your new Mac from the App Store
• Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID
• Open Cozy — your purchase is automatically restored
• All your unlocked themes are ready to use

🎯 Do wallpapers fit all screen sizes?

Yes! Each theme includes high-resolution wallpapers optimized for:

• iMac 24" & 27" — Full 4K/5K resolution
• MacBook Pro & Air — Retina resolution
• External displays — Scales beautifully to any size

⚠️ Folder icons aren't appearing. What should I do?

Try these solutions in order:

• 1. Relaunch Finder: Press ⌘ ⌥ Esc, select Finder, click "Relaunch"
• 2. Re-apply the theme: Open Cozy and click "Apply" again on your current theme
• 3. Check permissions: Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Files and Folders → ensure Cozy has Desktop access

If icons still don't appear after trying all steps, contact us for help.

🔁 I applied a theme but only some icons changed

This is normal — Finder sometimes caches old icons. Press ⌘ ⌥ Esc, select Finder, and click Relaunch to refresh.

🔒 I'm getting a permission request. Is this normal?

Yes! Cozy needs permission to:

• Access your Desktop folder — Required to apply custom folder icons
• Set wallpapers — Required to change your desktop background

These are standard macOS security prompts. Cozy is sandboxed, notarized by Apple, and doesn't collect any personal data.

💾 Where are themes stored?

All theme files are included in the app and stored locally on your Mac. Nothing is uploaded to the cloud — your themes, your Mac, your privacy.

🌐 Do I need an internet connection?

Only for:

• Initial purchase — To complete your App Store transaction
• Purchase verification — Occasional checks with Apple's servers

All themes are included in the app. Once installed, you can apply themes completely offline.

💰 Is this a subscription?

No! Cozy Theme Pack 1 is a one-time purchase:

• Pay once, own forever
• No monthly or yearly fees
• No auto-renewal to worry about
• Future themes in Pack 1 are included at no extra cost

🧾 How do I request a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple:

• Visit reportaproblem.apple.com
• Sign in with your Apple ID
• Find your Cozy purchase and request a refund
